John 3:16-18 -“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
— Romans 6:23
This is the promise which He Himself made to us: eternal life.
— 1 John 2:25 (also see Galatians 3:22)
Do not fear those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in Gehenna.
— Matthew 10:28
Therefore, perish means perish, death means 2nd death for the soul, opposing eternal life of the soul.

There are judgments of different types. There is the Great White Throne judgment for those who never believed the promise of John 3:16, and the judgment seat of Christ (reward) for those who are convinced that is true.
No one will attend both.
